Information Fault Codes

NOTE: – Information Fault Codes have simple corrective actions and no fault code troubleshooting tree.
– After correcting the condition that caused the fault, let the engine warm up; then let the engine run for 1 minute to inactivate the fault code. Then, use the electronic service tool to clear the fault code.

CODE: 269
LAMP: Red
REASON: Engine rpm is detected when antitheft is active.
EFFECT: Engine possibly will not start.
ACTION: Enter antitheft protection password.
CODE: 291
LAMP: Red
REASON: Incorrect key used on the Immobilizer™ equipment to start the engine.
EFFECT: Engine will not start.
ACTION: The proper key must be used on the Immobilizer™ equipment to start the engine.
CODE: 292
LAMP: None
REASON: Coolant temperature has exceeded the Leyland/DAF specification.
EFFECT: Possible engine derate.
ACTION: Verify fluid level is within specification and OEM specification for coolant temperature.
CODE: 319
LAMP: Maintenance
REASON: Real-time clock lost power. Unswitched battery power to the electronic control module (ECM) has been interrupted.
EFFECT: None on performance. Data in the ECM possibly will not have accurate time and date information.
ACTION: Check real-time clock with electronic service tool or RoadRelay™
4 and set if incorrect.
CODE: 418
LAMP: Maintenance
REASON: Water in fuel detected.
EFFECT: Fuel system damage possible.
ACTION: Drain water from fuel filter.
CODE: 2295
LAMP: None
REASON: ECM temperature out of specifications.
EFFECT: No effect on engine performance. The ECM can not be recalibrated above 75°C (167°F).
ACTION: Wait for the ECM to cool below 75°C (167°F) to recalibrate the ECM.
