To reduce the possibility of damaging the harness connector, do not pry or pull on the harness connector lock. Push on the lock to release it.
NOTE: When disconnecting the sensor, check to see that the seal for the sensor pins remains on the sensor and has not lodged in the harness connector. If it has come off with the harness connector, remove it and install it back to the sensor. The harness connector does not have a seal in it. Failure to position the seal correctly could cause the gas mass flow sensor to malfunction.
Disconnect the engine harness from the gas mass flow sensor.
