Circuit Description
The electronic control module (ECM) controls the throttle actuator; it is both an input and output device.
Component Location
The throttle actuator is located after the fuel housing and before the intake manifold cover.
Shop Talk
The throttle actuator used for the Gas Plus engines is pulse-width modulated. Leaks, especially missing pipe and cap plugs, after the throttle actuator can also cause this fault. Excessive backfire can cause a bent throttle plate.
