CM870 and ISX Engines – 019-376   Exhaust Gas Pressure Sensor

Initial Check

 TOC

Connect the INSITE™ service tool and verify the exhaust pressure sensor reading on INSITE™ is the same as the gauge.

  
SMALL | MEDIUM | LARGE

Remove

 TOC

Disconnect the wiring harness connector.

Remove the sensor.

SMALL | MEDIUM | LARGE
   

Inspect for Reuse

 TOC

Inspect the sensor adapter for cracks or fretting. Replace the adapter if damage is present. Refer to Procedure 011-033.

Install

 TOC

Install the sensor.

NOTE: Make sure the sealing washer is captured on the threaded portion of the sensor.

Torque Value:  23  n.m  [17 ft-lb]

Connect the wiring harness to the sensor.

Start the engine and verify proper operation (no fault codes).
