The basic heavy-duty electrical system consists of:

  • Batteries (1)
  • (Usually two or four connected in parallel)
  • Starting motor (2)
  • Alternator (3)
  • Magnetic switch (4)
  • Ignition switch (5)
  • Necessary wiring

All components must be carefully matched.
