CM871 and CM876 Electronic Control Systems, ISX and ISM Engines – 019-063   Internal Actuator Wiring Harness

Remove the rocker lever cover. Refer to Procedure 003-011 in the ISM, ISMe and QSM11 Service Manual, Bulletin 3666322, or the Signature, ISX and QSX15 Service Manual, Bulletin 3666239.

Disconnect the engine harness from the internal actuator harness connector at the front of the rocker lever housing.

Release the locking tabs on the internal actuator harness connector and push the connector back through the rocker lever housing.

Disconnect the engine brake harness from the engine brake solenoids.

Disconnect the engine brake harness from the internal actuator harness at the 3-pin Deutsch connector.

Disconnect the actuator harness from each of the six injector solenoids.

Remove the five hold down capscrews securing the actuator harness to the rocker lever housing.

Replace or repair the internal actuator harness if there is an open circuit or a short circuit found under the protective covering of the harness body.

Clean the connector bore in the rocker lever housing.

Push the internal actuator harness connector through the rocker lever housing until the locking tabs lock into position on the front of the rocker lever housing.

Connect the actuator harness to each of the six injector solenoids.

Connect the engine brake harness to the actuator harness and the engine brake solenoids.

Install the five hold down capscrews securing the internal actuator harness to the rocker lever housing.

Install the rocker lever cover. Refer to Procedure 003-011 in the ISM, ISMe and QSM11 Service Manual, Bulletin 3666322, or the Signature, ISX and QSX15 Service Manual, Bulletin 3666239.
