Tools Required
J 23523-F Crank shaft Balancer Remover
1. Remove the upper fan shroud from the radiator.
Refer to Fan Shroud Replacement (Upper) in Engine Cooling.
2. Remove drive belt from the drive pulleys. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement (6.5L Drive Belt).
3. Raise the vehicle and support with safety stands.
4. Remove the lower fan shroud from the radiator.
Refer to Fan Shroud Replacement (Lower) in Engine Cooling.
5. Remove the crankshaft pulley from the crankshaft balancer.
6. Remove the crankshaft balancer bolt and washer from the crankshaft.
7. Use the J 23523-F to remove the crankshaft balancer from the crankshaft.
8. Remove the from the crankshaft balancer from the crankshaft.
