1. Raise the vehicle and support with safety stands.
2. Remove the oil filter from the oil filter fitting (2 wheel drive only).
Important : Do not damage the engine block when removing the bypass valve.
3. Remove the oil filter adapter bolt from the engine block (4 wheel drive only).
4. Remove the oil cooler by pass valve.
4.1. Install a 4.8 mm (3/16 inch) sheet metal screw into the hole in the cup plug.
4.2. Using the two small pry bars, take out the cup plug.
4.3. Use a slide hammer to remove the oil cooler by pass valve from the engine block.
