Preparatory Steps

  • Remove the ignition control module. Refer to Procedure 019-105 in the Troubleshooting and Repair Manual Fuel System and Electronics B5.9G, C8.3G, L10G-III, Bulletin 3666118 and 019-105 in the Troubleshooting and Repair Manual Electronic Control System Gas Plus Engines, Bulletin 4021317.
  • Remove the electronic control module. Refer to Procedure 019-031 in the Troubleshooting and Repair Manual Fuel System and Electronics B5.9G, C8.3G, L10G-III, Bulletin 3666118 and 019-031 in the Troubleshooting and Repair Manual Electronic Control System Gas Plus Engines, Bulletin 4021317.
  • Remove the evaporator (if applicable). Refer to Procedure 005-094.
  • Remove the low pressure regulator (if applicable). Refer to Procedure 005-047.

Remove the capscrews and ignition control module bracket.

Install

 TOC

Instal the ignition control module bracket and capscrews.

Tighten the capscrews.

Torque Value:  24  n.m  [18 ft-lb]

Finishing Steps

  • Install the electronic control module. Refer to Procedure 019-031 in the Troubleshooting and Repair Manual Fuel System and Electronics B5.9G, C8.3G, L10G-III, Bulletin 3666118 and 019-031 in the Troubleshooting and Repair Manual Electronic Control System Gas Plus Engines, Bulletin 4021317.
  • Install the ignition control module. Refer to Procedure 019-105 in the Troubleshooting and Repair Manual Fuel System and Electronics B5.9G, C8.3G, L10G-III, Bulletin 3666118 and 019-105 in the Troubleshooting and Repair Manual Electronic Control System Gas Plus Engines, Bulletin 4021317.
  • Install the evaporator (if applicable). Refer to Procedure 005-094.
  • Install the low pressure regulator (if applicable). Refer to Procedure 005-047.
