Preparatory Steps

Drain the lubricating oil. Refer to Procedure 007-025-005. Remove the lubricating oil pan and gasket. Refer to Procedure 007-025-002.		SMALL \| MEDIUM \| LARGE

Remove the lubricating oil suction tube.

Clean the gasket surfaces.		SMALL \| MEDIUM \| LARGE

Inspect the suction tube for cracks.		SMALL \| MEDIUM \| LARGE

Install the lubricating oil suction tube and new gasket.

Torque Value: 24 n.m [18 ft-lb]

Use Three-Bond™ 1207-C to fill the joints between the lubricating oil pan rail, gear housing, and rear seal housing.		SMALL \| MEDIUM \| LARGE

10 mm

Install the lubricating oil pan and gasket.

Torque Value: 24 n.m [18 ft-lb]

17 mm

Install the lubricating oil pan drain plug.

Torque Value: 80 n.m [60 ft-lb]

Fill the engine with lubricating oil. Refer to Section 7 Lubricating Oil System, General Information, for lubricating oil specification.

Operate the engine and check for leaks.

Stop the engine and check the lubricating oil level with the dipstick.
