ISM, ISMe, and QSM11 – 010-117   Turbocharger Control Valve Mounting Bracket

Preparatory Steps

 TOC

Remove the turbocharger control valve. Refer to Procedure 019-388 in the Troubleshooting and Repair Manual CM870 Electronic Control System ISM Engines, Bulletin 4021381 or the Troubleshooting and Repair Manual CM875 Electronic Control System ISM Engines, Bulletin 4021477.

SMALL | MEDIUM | LARGE

Remove

 TOC

Low Mount


Remove the three low mount bracket capscrews.

Remove the low mount bracket.

SMALL | MEDIUM | LARGE
   

High Mount


Remove the high mount bracket stud from the fuel rail.

Remove the high mount bracket nut from the rocker lever housing stud.

Remove the high mount bracket.

SMALL | MEDIUM | LARGE
   

Inspect for Reuse

Check the mounting bracket and replace if damage is found.

Install

Low Mount


Install the low mount bracket.

Install the three low mount bracket capscrews.

Tighten the capscrews.

Torque Value:  45  n.m  [33 ft-lb]

SMALL | MEDIUM | LARGE
   

High Mount


Align the high mount bracket with the threaded fuel rail hole, placing it onto the rocker lever housing stud.

Thread the stud into the fuel rail threaded hole.

Thread the nut onto rocker lever housing stud.

Tighten the fuel rail stud.

Torque Value:  45  n.m  [33 ft-lb]

Tighten the rocker lever housing stud nut.

Torque Value:  20  n.m  [15 ft-lb]

Finishing Steps

 TOC

Install the turbocharger control valve. Refer to Procedure 019-388 in the Troubleshooting and Repair Manual CM870 Electronic Control System ISM Engines, Bulletin 4021381 or the Troubleshooting and Repair Manual CM875 Electronic Control System ISM Engines, Bulletin 4021477.
