Heated Oxygen Sensor Circuit
|
Circuit Description
The ECM uses this sensor to determine the amount of oxygen in the exhaust gas and then, to adjust the commanded air-fuel ratio.
Component Location
100-002 for the component location.
Shop Talk
The oxygen sensor heater must be functional for the sensor to work properly. It has a +12-VDC supply, which is separate from the engine control +24-VDC supply.
The engine will run in open-loop when the oxygen sensor fault is set. If rough running results, the display panel can be used to adjust the open-loop set points.
